Gabala have shared 1:1 draw with Qarabagh in the first leg of the Azerbaijan Premier League’s second round. The home match within the 8th tour started with uick attacks by Gabala. Sustained period of inroads into the Qarabagh defense led to an early goal by Elmar bakhshiyev’s red-black squad. Gismat Aliyev capitalized on a ball before surging ahead to set up a good correspondence, and then went into the box to give a powerful shot in.
Later on, Gismat could have doubled his goal but his effort was denied by the visiting keeper. Then Davit Volkov and Clesio Bauque were off the target. Qarabagh leveled with Ismayil Ibrahimli’s long-range shot.
After the restart, both sides set up some more mutual attacks but they were unable to change the scoresheet.
