Gabala lost the season’s last home match to Neftchi with 3:1 in the 27th tour of the Azerbaijan Premier League. The pace of the match started by mutual attacks. Going more into the first period, Gabala’s Lalavele Atakora went too close to the opening but his effort in the box passed wide. Neftchi’s feedback led to the opening by Mamadu Mbodj.
After the break, the visiting side scored their second with Bagaliy Dabo. Gabala scored back one after Rauf Aliyev’s shot. In the closing minutes, Neftchi went one more ahead scoring their third.
