Gabala have punished AZAL by 3:0 in the 5th leg of the Azerbaijan Premier League at home today.

The match started by mutual attacks and Roman Grigorchuk”s side took foothold in the proceedings regularly. But the red-black side were unable to set up a pulsating moment in the early minutes.

The home side could break the visiting defense only on the 31st minute when Filip Ozobic demonstrated his value scoring his second goal of the league, which is also the fourth for Gabala in all contests.

Ten minutes after the interval, Ruslan Gurbanov grabbed Gabala”s second as the forward line surged up the field and he swept a good finish past the opponent keeper– 2:0.

Sensing the victory, Gabala kept the ball in their control and stepped up their inroads into the AZAL defense.

Later on, Roman Huseynov scored in the third goal of Gabala with a debut in his 5th appearance for the first team.

The second successive high-scoring win moved Gabala onto 10 points. And keeper Dmytro Bezotosniy is extending his clear run to the 6th match on the trot, including 598 minutes.
