SC Gabala have been awarded with The Winners of 2015 by Sports Research Center (SRC) of Azerbaijan at the Qafqaz Point Hotel in capital Baku.

The award is the result of the organization”s 3rd survey among domestic mass media reporters and has been presented by outstanding sport figures of the nation.

The red-black club was valued as a side deserving the honor with the bronze medal of the domestic Premier League season of 2014/15, as well as with a tally to the group stage of the UEFA EL this season.

The award has been presented to Gabala”s vice president Fariz Najafov who appreciated to both media reporters and the SRC staff for considering the club best of the year, saying:
“It is really gratifying for us if being able to make the nation happy with our victories of the year. And also thanks to the mass media being a part of all these achievements, and my gratitude goes as well as to all supporting our sports in no returns”.

Roman Grigorchuk, making a great history for Gabala, also has been titled The Head Coach of 2015 leaving his all colleagues behind in Azerbaijan. The Ukrainian skipper shared his first expressions:
“Thanks to all football people in Azerbaijan. I think there are many best coaches of the country and I am really proud being one of them with this great award”.

Another Gabala hero being awarded by the SRC is Anar Hajiyev with his name of The Press Secretary of 2015, who said at the event:

“It was a marked progress Gabala made in their way all through 2015. The year is ending after much successes in sports of FC Gabala and the whole country as well. It is really a great pleasure if I could be a single part of all these achievements during the year. Now gaining this award, I feel much more responsibility for the further goals on the way.”
