KB-75 (Ukraine) 5:2 Gabala (Azerbaijan)

Gabala Sport Club’s boxing team faced KB-75 in an international friendly in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine. The sides presented memorial gifts to each other just before the contest got underway at the Youth and Students Sports Palace. Gabala delegation leader Fariz Mammadov presented plaque to Ukrainian side’s head coach Sergey Krinitski. And some outstanding Ukrainian boxers came on the canvas and wished successful performances to the challengers. After the state anthem of both countries, the teams challenged in seven weight matches.

The contest was managed by Igor Biletski and started with 56 kg match where our Umud Rustamov won over Maksim Fatich. The next two matches were taken by the home side as Timur Bilyak defeated Elvin Isayev (64 kg) and Victor Petrov came out as the better than Roman Zakirovu (69 kg). Kamran Shahsuvarly, 75 kg, beat Taras Golovashenko to balance the team points. But then the Ukrainian side took three more matches with Vladimir Skripka beating Rauf Rahimov (81 kg), Konstantin Pincuk defeating Rahil Mammadli (91 k), and Igor Shevadzutski winning over Mahammadali Tahirzadeh (+91 kg).

After the matches, the winners and highly valied individuals were awarded. Our Mahammadali Tahirzadeh also earned a special present.
