Gabala boxing against Repton

On 27th June in London, gloves masters of Gabala and Repton from England will meet in a boxing night being organized by The European Azerbaijan Society. 

The western club was created in 1884 and is one of the oldest boxing bodies of England. The show will be dedicated to world displaced people and income will be transferred to the account of Mo Farah Foundation. 

The event is initiated by Tony Adams, who is the Adviser of SC Gabala"s president and former captain of both the England provisional team and Arsenal and by Darren Barker, a manager of Repton.

The event in the York Hall Leisure Centre will be watched by some prominent football figures, as well as Frank Bruno, who is one of the most well-known boxing men of England and earned EBU heavyweight title in 1990 before  winning WBC heavyweight championship in 1995. It is worth to remember Bruno as a respected boxing man of the British boxing history with heavyweight title just like his colleagues Henri Cooper, Lennox Lewis and  David Xey. 

The most potential boxer of the modern professional boxing, 26-year old British fighter, George Groves and outstanding football veterans, as well as former members of the English national team Joe Coul, Nigel Winterburn and Gari Mabbutt also will be amongst the honorary guests of the night.

69 kg: Norris Thompson – Tamerlan Abdullayev

81kg: Matthew Tinker – Elvin Ganbarov 
81 kg: Tom Barry – Huseyn Gasimov
91 kg: Lawrence Okolie – Rahil Mammadli 
+91 kg: Nicholas Webb – Asaf Aslanly

The Gabala delegation to London includes head of boxing department of the club Fariz Mammadov, the boxing team"s head coach Lazaro Martinez Jimenez from Cuba and his assistant Natig Aslanov. The matches will be broadcasted by famous TV channels of Sky Sports News TV and Talk Sport.
