Today Gabala defeated to Garabagh in the 8the tour of the Topaz Premier League with 2:0 in away. After the draw run of the last two games, Gabala were unable to break the Garabagh deadlock, who are the champions of Azerbaijan.

Dorinel Munteanu, coming on his 10th experience as a head coach for Gabala, made some changes to his starting lineup. Dodo is back to the starting staff after recovering from injury as injured Ruslan Abishov and Ruslan Amirjcanov were unable to make up Gabala”s starting lineup.

The pace of the match started by faster attacks of the home side. They were much close to opening with Javid Taghiyev. But Gabala held on and regained the balance in the show. Then the plan of the visitors was disturbed when Urfan Abbasov got injured and he was replaced by younger player Mushfig Teymurov.

Gabala went close to scoring in the half but their efforts did not worked out with Victor Mendy”s shot was denied by the post before Javid Huseynov fell down in the box and the referee looked as all are OK.

The opener was scored by Vugar Nadirov from the edge of the box just before the half-time – 1:0.

After the restart, Gabala pushed hard to regain the momentum with some changes by Munteanu. Mendy looked close to leveling but his efforts were off the target.

In return the home side doubled their lead as the referee pointed to the spot ordering about foul of Teymurov. Reynaldo”s first shot was not allowed by the referee and the opponent player repeated it in the same way into the same corner to score in the winner.

The result left Gabala with the 3rd loss after 3 victories and 2 draws.
