Gabala have lost to Neftchi 4:5 in the return match of the Azerbaijan Cup today, which was also the 3rd tie of the pair in the last 8 days.
 
The red-black team of Roman Grigorchuk started faster but were unable to cut through the opponent defense. Gabala”s Zargarov set the first threat at the other end but failed shoot in just before Oleksiy Gai also was off the target.
 
After the restart, Zargarov was unable to finish his a good attack for a goal. The deadlock was broken by counterattack from Neftchi after Gabala”s corner when visitor Ruslan Gurbanov put his team one ahead. The goal prompted Grigorchuk to introduce Mahammad Mirzabayov and Ermin Zec. This was a great matter of time when the latter leveled.
 
Then it was Gabala keeping quick and more attacks up to the end, but the scoresheet held on unchanged.
