The sides started by mutual attacks and Gabala set up the first threat in the 7th minute with Ruslan Abishov”s 30-meter free-kick denied by the keeper. The returned ball found Arif Dashdamirov whose effort deflected by an opponent defender.

And 4 minutes later, Ermin Zec from the right met Dodo poorly headed.

The opener came out on 17 minutes when Oleksiy Gai, made his double against Zira 4 days ago, appeared on the scoresheet after his superb header from a promising close position. The goal was registered to be the Ukrainian defender”s 12th for the red-black team.

The home side wen too close to doubling their lead in the 30th minute but Elvin Jamalov 28-yard drive was denied by the visiting keeper.

Zira leveled in the 39th minute as Nurlan Novruzov”s telegraph found Nelson Bonilla to give a precise finish.

It was Gabala looking with more attacks as Zira were backing on counter attacks.

Zec looked capitalizing on some moments at times before his corner kick and pass to Dodo who was denied by keeper Anar Nazirov.

Abishov and Dodo could have put gabala one ahead again but they failed to touch the ball in front of the net.

The home side stepped up their inroad into the Zira half of the field but the visitor defense held on clear.

Gabala”s 2nd goal was canceled when Antonov”s shot was just a bit off the target.

But Zira could hit their next goal with Bonilla staying for a corner close to the nearer post and scoring his 10th of the season- 2:1.
