Gabala received Ravan in the 23rd tour of the Topaz Premier League. The footballers came on the pitch with black ribbons on their arms in memory of the 26th February massacre victims in Khojaly. They kept the slogan of Justice to Khojaly and held oneminute"s silence.  

Yuri Semin introduced the starting lineup only with one little change differing from the lineup against AZAL last tour with Leonardo da Silva that was replaced by Marat Izmaylov now.

The first half of the game got only one pulsating moment in the 40th minute when Daniel Subotic"s header hit on the post before Victor Mendy was denied by opponent defender Julio Sezar after the return ball. 

In the second period, the game came to life with 2 penalty chances of Gabala that Lorenzo Ebecilio with 55th minute and Leonardo da Silva on 73 minutes failed to score. Deflecting the second shot, the Poland keeper was sent after his unethical act. Although the team from Baku went down to ten, Gabala were unable to score even with Yannick Kamanan and Abdulwaheed Afolabi being introduced by Yuri Semin.
