Azerbaijan carateists strike the triumph at the 27th Bogazici International Tournament in Istanbul. Our fighters gained 16 medals including 4 golds, 2 silvers and 10 bronzes. SC Gabala”s 4 heroes fought for the provisional team, being as well as the winner of a squard contest.

Looking as the bests of the tournament, Gabala”s Rafael Aghayev (-75 kg) and Niyazi Aliyev (-67 kg) satisfied the hopes on them hitting golds. Rafiz Hasanov (-67 kg) gave up his victory only in the final match. 

Orkhan Heydarli (+84 kq) ended with bronze.

It is worth to remember the tournament was joined by 756 fighters from 16 states.
