Starting from 3rd December at Sarhadchi Olympics Complex, Domestic Judo Cup of Youth (1998-1999) has come to end today. Gabala Sports Club”s fighters finished were capitalized with 5 medals including 2 golds, 1 silver and 2 bronzes. Three of the awards were gained by sportsmen of the club from the Gabala district. The medals write first-ever achievements of the club”s department established a year half ago.

Fazila Aslanova came out to be the first Azerbaijan judo champion of the Gabala district with 36 kg. Another Gabala hero other than Aslanova is Aygun Hajiyeva taking 2 victories from her 3 fights to gain silver medal.

Imran Yusifov could take the title of the first-ever boy champion from Gabala district of the club with 90 kg earning bronze. Coach Rail Ismayilov”s student won 3 matches from his 4 appearances.

And the club”s fighters from Baku squared 2 medals with Nargiz Hajiyeva, 63 kg, beating her all opponents to hit top as Nihat Alasgarli, 46 kg, sits 3rd.
