Gabala lower age judocas hit some medals from the Open Baku Championship between young fighters born in 2000-2001 and 2002-2003 held from 4 to 7 January. Although their first leg at the tournament, our youth make all excited with their superb performance amongst 900 sportsmen from more than 40 clubs. Gabala heroes strike 8 golds, 8  silvers and 10 bronzes. The students of Ramil Ismayilov hit the top place on the team rating table ahead of Evo Judo Club and Lokomotiv. 

It is worth to remember the judo department of the Gabala Sports Club was created only recently in Gabala district and gained 2 golds and one bronze. And the other medals were earned by the Baku part of the department. And it is considered to be the most significant tournament in Azerbaijan as there are no any World Cup or European Championships for these age groups.
