Gabala judokas hit 2nd medal in Australia

SC Gabala”s judoka team hit their second medal with Ushangi Kokauri earning a silverware at the Oceania Open Championship in Wollongong, Australia after Aisha Gurbanly, 48-kg, with the same medal of the contest.

Coming on 4 matches, the Gabala hero won 3 victories losing only in the final. In his early 2 challenges, he beat Australian Liam Park and Estonian Juhan Mettis to progress into the semifinal. This time Kokauri knocked out another fighter from Australia Jake Andrewartha.

And he lost to Mohammed Amine Tayeb from Algeria in the final, who Kokauri failed to beat also in the Open African Championship.

Now the Gabala challenger could strike the second place after earning a bronze medal in Mauricio.
