Gabala judokas won six medals in European Cup

Gabala Sport Club’s judokas, challenging for the Azerbaijan national team, highlight the club at the European Youth Cup in Czech Republic with six medals, including one gold, three silver and 2 bronze.

Rashkhan Bakhshaliyev, 55 kg, hit a gold medal after beating another Gabala fighter Rovshan Aliyev after David Naji (Hungary), Brayan Joli (Austria), Fransisko Mesa Qarsia (Spain).

Aliyev beat Voytek Sheybal (Czech), Felipe Kruz and another member of the national team Balabay Aghayev.

Karamat Huseynov (60 kg) and Hasil Jafarov (73 kg) also ended second winning silver medals. Huseynov defeated Tim Pahor (Slovakia), David Vopat (Czech) and Fransisko Mendes (Portugal) before losing to his teammate Ahmad Yusifov. And Jafarov won over Pavel Kurika (Poland), Voytseh Kanik (Austria), Daniel Pauell (Great Britain), Andras Matic (Hungary) and Matias Chishek. O, yalnız moldovalı Kornel Andriesə uduzub.

In the 66 kg contest, Ismayil Ibrahimov and Yagub Javadov also gained bronze medals. Ibrahimov beat Zoltan Simonshik (Hungary) and Henry Maatta (Finland) before defeating to Salvador Rocha Kasas (Spain). Then he beat Yori van Opstal (Netherlands), his teammate Ibrahim Aliyev and Ouen Korziliusa (Netherlands) in consolatory match. Javadov defeated Mark Chse (Hungary), Denislav Ivanov (Bulgaria), Patrik Kastner (Poland) before losing to Ouen Korzilius. In consolatory match, he came out as a better challenger taking victory on Valtteri Olin (Finland), Bernd Aleksandar Gabler (Germany) and Yusuf Nurkovich (Montenegro).
