Gabala have lost to Khazar Lankaran 3:0 with the 15th tour away within the Topaz Premier League. As to the inconvenient condition of the Lankaran City Stadiumç the game was forced to be held at Bayil Arena in Baku. Head coach Doriel Munteanu made up the starting line-up by 2 changes after the last tour match against Neftchi. The Romanian skipper introduced Adrian Ropotan and Ruslan Taghizadeh as their punishment period ended to replace Sadig Guliyev and Elvin Jamalov.

The home side started faster and pushed ahead in early minutes to score the opener in the 6th minute. Galin Ivanov shot in as Urfan Abbasov failed to deflect the ball. Later on, Khazar Lankaran went more ahead with the second after Rahid Amirguliyev passed into the box when Ruslan Taghizadeh finished by own goal with his beast trying to give it to the keeper. Gabala backed on counter attacks but could set up no a strong threat at the other end. The first half gave another disappointing moment to Gabala with injured Markinyos sent off.

In the early minutes into the second period, Aghabala Ramazanov”s header gave the 3rd goal for the hosts. It prompted Gabala to push on and balance the game before the red-black side took most spaces in the pitch after Dodo”s free kick gave trouble to the home side on 63 minutes. But the Brazilian”s shot went a bit off the target.

Then Javid Huseynov seemed looking for a goal chance. With 10 minutes left, the player from South Africa set up a free kick that gve a big stress to the home keeper.

Although much more efforts of Gabala, they were unable to reduce the goal difference of the show.

It could have been even worse for the visitors, but Kamran Aghayev gave a great save to his team deflecting Ivanov in the closing minutes.
