Gabala beat Baku 3:1 in the 34th tour of the Topaz Premier League, which made a great history for the team of Yuri Semin earning them a tally to the European league. The home match started by quick attacks of the read-black side and the guests looked lost during the full time. Gabala pushed them back up to the other end. We could put Baku into deadlock after our keeper denied young Namig. Shortly after, Mendy came under the spotlight meeting the Baku keeper one on one before failing to score. The shot of the forward could not get through tall Agil.
Anyway, Gabala could reach to their early goal with Marat meeting telegraph from Dodo. This goal was just a beginning of Baku”s failed end and it seemed just a matter of time before Mushfig Teymurov set up a clinical finish after a superb corner from Izmaylov. Gabala fans welcomed the goal just a few seconds before the student of the Gabala Football Academy: 2:0.
The emotional gaiety of Teymurov, 21-year old and number 88, was well felt when he was running cross the pitch taking off his shirt after the goal.
The second period run the same way and it led to Gabala”s 3rd goal by Subotic. The red-black side reached to the high score punishing the capital Baku team before Gabala moved back to the defencive line and protect their lead. Then Bakau fed back one.
After Neftchi finished in a goalless draw in the capital city, Gabala sealed their their tally to the European league by their comfortable victory over Baku and fortifying at the 3rd tier.
