Gabala making deal with AVIS

SC Gabala and AVIS Azerbaijan have made a deal that means the new partner will provide the club by transportation for a year. In return, Gabala will advertise AVIS at home matches on pitch side boards, as well as on background sheets during after-match press conferences and webs site.
Both companies will support each other in their social and marketing projects.
AVIS Azerbaijan”s manager Berat Ecemis says:
“AVIS acts in 161 countries with 4,850 offices and keeps up its service in Turkey with 75 offices, also with 2 companies out of the country. Holding the leader position in car rental today, AVIS are partners as a sponsor out of Turkey. We are glad making a good start to collaboration with Gabala, which is of leading football and sports clubs in Azerbaijan. We believe Gabala will hit again their successful run in Europe this season and the collaboration will go into further years”.
Gabala”s Commercial/PR Chief Executive Officer Mustafa Aztopal adds:
“It is really nice to make a deal with the world”s leading company in car rental like AVIS. I got opportunity to collaborate with this firm when I was in Turkey. I am convinced this tie will be sustainable for a long period. In 15 Aprel 1997, Avis was introduced to Azerbaijan by SET AUTO LTD. which was the member of Turkey’s largest industrial and services group Koç Holding.
Koç Holding is the only Turkish company in the Fortune Global 500 list and amongst the top 200 largest companies in the world. (186th with the 2007 results). The combined revenue of Koç Holding is USD 39.5 billion in 2007.
Until 2002, the rent a car sector in Azerbaijan showed a very stable profile. Where after this date the great improvements and investments in Azerbaijan Oil Sector has reflected the same performance to the rent a car sector as well. In 2002, Avis Azerbaijan has enlarged with new vehicles both for self drive and chauffeur driven where the fleet size has climbed up to 200' s and 80 personnel.
Today, Avis Azerbaijan is running with a fleet size of 200 vehicles as a market leader in Short term and long term rental operations.
