Gabala hit a tally to the Azerbaijan Cup final after beating Inter Baku 2:0 with a home match.
Roman Grigorchuk’s red-black team started faster and took the momentum from early minutes. Dabo set up the first threat but saw his header deflected by the visiting keeper. Asif’s corner found Ramaldanov converted into the box and Subotic left in a free space finished clinically – 1:0. This was the overseas player’s third cup goal for Gabala.

Although the goal gave dynamism to the opponent side, they were unable to make any pulsating moment thanks to Gabala keeper Dmytro Bezotosniy.

Later on, Dabo put Gabala one more ahead after a superb cross from Ricardinho in the left – 2:0. It was registered as his 11th goal for the red-black team, as well as first in the cup.

After the restart, Gabala could have go more ahead but Eyyubov failed to hit the target in the box. Inter Baku were looking all for changing the scoring. This kept the course of the match in a mutual attack display.

The result left Gabala reaching into the final round. Just to remember, the red-black squad had lost to Neftchi in the same stage of the 2013/14 season after penalty shootout 1:1 (p. 2:3). Now Gabala are going to come on the final on May 5.
