Gabala beat Simurg from Zagatala with 2:1 in the 16th tour of the Premeir League. Just cast you mind back to the first round tie that ended in 0:0. It meant Gabala were just a bit from the place to share the lead on the league table.
The pace of the match started with mutual checkup attacks. Later on, Simurg looked creating the momentum, but their some occasions swift off the goal and the first period ended goalless.
It was Gabala restarting faster in the second half. The home side stepped up their inroads into the opponent defence and it led to the opening goal in the 52nd minute. Subotic headed home after a superb cross from Leonardo in the left - 1:0. Slowing down after the goal, Gabala went into punish from their own goal, on 64 minutes, with Amit Guluzadeh Being introduced in the second period. The red-black side got prompted by the goal and it seemed evident on their forward line. The team of Yuri Semin set up some many threats in a row. Exchange of Subotich, Ebecilio and Mendy did not helped to double our lead. But Gabala did not go down and kept struggling up to the end to show a big resilience at the closing minutes where Subotic scored the all important goal after a perfect pass from Ebecilio. Subotic earned Gabala a great victory scoring his double- 2:1.
