Gabala have beaten Sumgayit 2:0 at home match of the 11th tour of the Topaz Premier League well responding to the first stage away match when the red-black side lost in 1:2. So the return match was expected to be warm-up. 

The show was a scene to a debut of Gabala Football Academy”s student Elvin Jamalov, born in 1995. It was a good testimony of the new first team player in all 60 minutes.

The pace of the match started by mutual check-up efforts of the sides. Gradually, Gabala got the lead and kept the way up to the final whistle. Daniel Subotic looked working hard on the forward line and it led him to score in the 24th minute. He met delivery from Leonardo Da Silva to shot the ball past Sumgayit”s Anar Nazirov- 1:0.

Gabala got chance to double their lead as Leonardo exchanged passes with Mendy but they were off target.

It was the same scenario after the restart and Gabala did not gave any chance to the guests to make threat.

Sumgayit were able to make only some off-target efforts and Gabala scored their second with Dodo being introduced after the restart.  It was the last goal of the night leaving Gabala driving their response to the first stage game with 2:0.
