Gabala’s Milad Beigi Harchegani hit the 1st place of the 22nd Croatia Open – G1 International Taekwondo Championship being held at the Arena Zagreb Sport Complex. Among the all seven challengers of the Azerbaijan national team, the 80-kg European champion, bronze winner of the 31st Summer Olympic of the red-black club won over Stojan Rabijac (17:8), Mario Zekic (12:0), Nikolaos Tzellos (12:3), Ivan Karajlovic (18:4) and Roberto Botta. Another Gabala hero other than Harchegani is Mahammad Mammadov, 63 kg, progressed up to the semifinal where he ended with a bronze medal.

It is worth to notice Azerbaijan’s men team took the first place on the number of medals.
