Gabala tested against Dinamo Kiev

Gabala, coached by Roman Grigorchuk, came on their next trial match within the Salzburg training camp in Austria. The red-black side lost to Dinamo Kiev 1:2. 

Gabala line-up: Dmytro Bezotosniy, Vojislav Stankoviç, Vitali Vernydub, Urfan Abbasov, Ilgar Gurbanov, Javid Huseynov, Filip Ozobic, Andy Halliday, Araz Abdullayev, Javier Hernandez, Stiven Jozef-Monroz.

During the match against the top-class team of Ukraine, it was Gabala setting up the first threat of the show as Monroz’s long-range shot passed the target just a little wide in the 7th minute. Ukraine opened the scoring on 13 minutes with Dmytro Khlobas. Gabala’s Halliday and Abdullayev went too close to leveling but their first shot was denied by the opponent keeper before the second finished with a corner kick.

With minutes more into the game, Andy gained a promising chance but he was unable to reach the ball. Then Bezotosniy gave two saves denying Sigankov and Garmash. Monroz’s cross to the box was not finished by his teammates in the 37th minute, three minutes before Hernandez failed on the target. Later on, Opponent Sigankov drew attention with his two more efforts.

The course of the match went by the same way after the restart. Grigorchuk introduced Famoussa Kone, Farid Nabiyev, Elvin Jamalov, Gismat Aliyev, Agil Mammadov, Elvin Mammadov, Asif Mammadov and Rasim Ramaldanov.

The Ukrainian side doubled their lead on 55 minutes with Khlobas’s second goal. Jus in the 4 minutes left, Gabala’s Elvin Mammadov scored one to finish in 1:2.
