Gabala U19 have been drawn against Dinamo Moscow (Russia) for the first leg of the UEFA Youth League 2016-2017 season”s Champions path route. This is the red-black team”s first experience in the continental campaign.
The first back-to-back games are fixed to September 28 and October 19. Gabala”s first leg will be held at home. The winner of this pair will face the better side of the Makkabi (Hayfa, Israel) - Shakhtar (Belarus) matches. The will challenge for the tally to the Play-off with fixtures on November 2 and 23.
If Gabala reach up to the second round, they will come on the first event as a guest side. It is worth to notice that, the contest was created since the 2013-2014 season giving the chance only to the UEFA Champions League clubs before extending its formation, last season, to 8 groups. Winners go to round of 16 lineup as the group runners-up are to play in the play-off.
