Gabala lost home league match to Neftchi 1:3 in the 22nd tour. The pace of the match started by mutual attacks before Gabala took the lead soon in early minutes. It was well evident with some fouls by the visitors trying to deflect inroads from the red-black side. Gabala”s pulsating efforts worked out in 10 minutes into the game when Victor Mendy shot the ball from the close range after Dodo’s superb pass from the left – 1:0. The goal made Neftchi to step up their attacks but they were unable to set trouble for Nazirov of Gabala. The red-black goalkeeper held on against all inroads from Neftchi.

Gabala set up quick counter attacks, at times, as Mendy came one-on-one with the opponent keeper close to the box. But out forward failed to score after falling down.

It was Gabala restarting faster after the break, also with free kicks against Neftchi”s fouls. Then the opponents could change the course of the game into 1:1 in the 58th minute with Julius Wobay.

After the goal, Gabala took more spaces to go much close to scoring on 68 minutes when Aleksey Gai”s pulsating shot was denied by the keeper. Two minutes later, Gabala conceded one more after Denis Silva converted a corner in – 1:2.

The game went on by mutual attacks led to the 3rd from Neftchi by Flavinyo in the result of the night.
