Gabala youth team have been drawn against APOEL (Cyprus) for the first round of the UEFA Youth League Champions Path. The red-black squad are going to reach to their second experience in the continental tournament. Just to remember, Gabala won the last season’s Azerbaijan Youth League.

The home match has been fixed to October 2nd and the return game will be on October 23. The winner side will be facing the better side of the Saragosa (Spain) vs. Korona (Poland). These events have been fixed to November 6 and 27.

In case winning the first round, Gabala may go to away match for the first tie of the second round.

Just before the drawing event, Gabala have been awarded with a diploma by the organizing committee for excellence in the social project.

Just cast your mind back to the season  2016/17 when Gabala faced Dinamo Moscow (Russia) and lost the round with 0:2 and 0:5. Then in 2018/19, our team won on Sherif (Moldova) by 1:1 and 3:1 before defeating to Hertha (Germany) with 1:3 and 0:1.
