Great boxing night in Gabala

Today, it was held a spectacular boxing show at the Gabala Olympic Complex organized by the Gabala Sports Club. Boxers fought for IBF, WBCA and WBO classes, as well as for rating. 

Starting with early 3 matches for rating within 4 rounds, Azerbaijan"s Elchin Ahmadov and Janis Ginters from Latvia met in +91 kg. Our domestic boxer kept the lead up to the end finishing better at points.

Next came up 72,5 kg Azerbaijan"s Vusal Aliyev and Albanian Armand Cullhaj with 6 rounds. At the pulsating match, our fighter put out a good confidence to finish on top.
 
The 3rd rating fight brought Rashad Karimov from Azerbaijan and Miguel Velozo from Cuba together in 79,8 kg with 6 rounds. The boxer from the Northern America put an end to the winning streak of Azerbaijan. 

The tournament developed into 12-round matches for title of WBCA Intercontinental, where +91kg Turkish Yagub Saghlam fought against Ukrainian Roman Golovashcenko. The result of the stage left the fighter from Ukraine lapping up the plaudits for his victory.

The things reached up to the last stage of the night to introduce Fariz Mammadov of Gabala against Matthias Pelk from Germany for WBO – IBF titles of Europe in 66,8 kg. The warm-up show ended unfinished as Fariz has had to stop his fight in the 8th round. The case gifted both titles to Pelk after the technical knockout.
