Gabala”s head coach Roman Grigorchuk talks to media reporters just ahead of the return match against Maribor (Slovenia) in the play-off of the UEFA EL. The Ukrainian boss says:
“After deeply analyzing Maribor, we saw the side we expected in Baku. The opponents are a strong team experienced in good football. I think the Slovenian squad will play better at their home pitch under domestic support.
Our football style is not for a back-to-the-wall display. We will show attacking performance tomorrow, too.
It is not our superiority we missed the last tour as the opponents also are coming on with their second staff. And footballers players just 45 minutes. This doesn”t seem as a problem for Maribor.
I quite believe in our hard work and preparation to the fixture.
I can”t say anything about the condition of the pitch. But both pitch and weather conditions can be the same challenge against both sides.
We are focused on gaining a tally to the group stage as one of two Azerbaijan teams with this chance”.
