Gabala”s head coach Roman Grigorchuk talks to media reporters right after the 2:1 away victory over MTK Budapest (Hungary) in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the UEFA EL. The red-black side”s boss says:
“We had prepared against MTK Budapest really strong and analyzed the opponents in deep. We have seen tonight what we had noticed on their shows before.
MTK Budapest are a strong team with fast and tough players, and this was well evident tonight.
The course and result of the match could have been different and we won just scoring more than the rivals. It is difficult to say what would happen then if the penalty was successful for MTK. But I think this would not change the course strongly.
I hope the return match will go the similar way. Although we scored 2 goals in the away match, now the chances for the next tie are fifty-to-fifty as the opponent side”s possession is well evident with their significant elements on the pitch. Now we are expected by a really serious experience with the return game”.
