Gabala”s head coach Roman Grigorchuk talks to media reporters right after the 3;1 win over Maribor in the first tie of the UEFA EL play-off. The Ukrainian skipper says:
“When Maribor opened the scoring, I was thinking not of 0:1, but changing the course of the game. I felt how important it was to score the leveler.
It is not the moment of euphoria about the match. It is the time to start analyzing the game to play better in the next tie.
I gave my recommendations to Rafael Santos during the match.
After making some mistakes on the defensive line, the opponents gained the control on the ball for minutes. And we solved all these during the half-time.
Marobor were showing a smart display. It could have been more goals against them, but the visitors could press the rate down”.
