Gabala’s head coach Roman Grigorchuk talks for post-match reaction right after the 1:1 home draw against Zira in the 24th tour of the Azerbaijan Premier League. The Ukrainian skipper says:

“It is difficult to commend the match. Sure the all-important for us is the result and we should have taken the victory, but failed. And it is difficult to blame the footballers. We were playing in a poor display in the early 5-7 minutes and the opponent team took the lead for a short time. But with this exception, the bigger part of the lead was on our side. And we were unable to convert our promising chances into the goal again.

Now we have to leave it back and look forward to earning victories in the all matches left ahead. Today’s draw made our mission in the tournament table tougher. All were in our own hand by today, but now we have to win one game against Qarabagh and need the opponent side to lose one event. When you fail to win, the challenge for the gold medal goes more difficultly. It was not good to miss a chance in these days, but we lost this match.”
