Grigorchuk – My team made themselves proud tonight

Gabala”s head coach Roman Grigorchuk talks right after the goalless away draw against PAOK (Greece) in the 5th tour of the UEFA EL group stage. The Ukrainian skipper says:

“I felt disappointed when I knew about the result of the Krasnodar-Borussia match. Because you know that there is no way ahead even if you win over PAOK. But we had to come on this game, no matter what happened. Maybe some players have never come across such experiences, and I told my team they must come on and play for their performance not thinking about the result.

I am satisfied by my players and their performance. There were much better prepared footballers in the Gabala starting lineup. My squad could have ground out better result if they were more dynamic and passionate on the pitch.

Anyway, my team made themselves proud tonight, and we will try and win further matches of the domestic league and cup championships. We need some 3 to 4 stronger players in the staff to be able to change our level in the UEFA EL group stage. So now whet we have to do on the way is to work analyzing our all past games in the continental contest to drive good benefits from those experiences.

We have much time ahead to change the things in our favor for the next season”.
