Grigorchuk - Talking about progress, you need to prove it by gaining points

Gabala’s head coach Roman grigorchuk and forward Ruslan Gurbanov have taklked to German media just a day before the reverse match against Mainz 05 within the sixth tour of the UEFA Europa League’s Group C. The Ukrainian boss says:

“We are satisfied by our performance this season. It was a great experience to play in our second continental campaign in a row. We are going to field against top-championship side, tomorrow. This is also kind of a chance to go more ahead in our international football experience. Gabala will be trying to drive many benefits from this tie, too.

It is well clear that we failed to take the group stage after being unable to win in all last five games. But this is not regretting us while we understand our lacks in the team. We still have to work harder and longer to get closer to the EL opponents’ level. Mainz, Anderlecht and Saint-Etienne are playing in serious contests. So we are in a quite different pole from them all.

There were many differences on many components in our first ties with the opponents, but then we evidently displayed how we were getting better in return matches. And we feel a little regret as the team failed to earn a point from Saint-Etienne and Anderlecht in the last two games. Talking about progress, you need to prove it by gaining points.”

Gurbanov adds: “We have prepared to the match really seriously. Our team are here hit a good result from this away. We need to keep the positives into the last events of the year after this tie. But now the squad are fully concentrated only on this match against Mainz.

We gave up our some chances during earlier matches but this is common in football. In some different cases we were unlucky or not prepared well. But now we want to make our fans and all supporting Gabala happy after driving out better result from tomorrow’s event.”
