Aisha Gurbanly, challenging for SC Gabala and Azerbaijan national judo team, has earned a bronze medal from the Open African Championship in Port-Luis, Mauritius. The Gabala hero, 48 kg, came on 4 matches, first beating host Laetita Loumeo by the ippon trick. Her next victory was over Chloe Rayner from Australia progressing into the semifinal where she defeated to Diana Cobos from Ecuador. Then Gurbanly won over Katelyn Bouyssou from USA to finish the contest 3rd.
