Gabala coach Sanan Gurbanov talks to a post-match press conference right after the 2:0 home victory over AZAL in the 17th tour of the Azerbaijan Premier League. The 37-year-old skipper says:

“We had prepared to this match the same way to for the earlier games. Already all the team play quickly and show good teamworks. We want to hold more spaces and be the better side on show. We make occasion on the opponent side and just like our coach says, we work in our best to score an early goal. But when we fail to do this, the team suffer physiologically. But we hit the important three points.

We analyzed well the match between AZAL and Qarabagh. The team from Baku looked well defended and fast playing. And we saw the same thing. After AZAL went down to ten, we wanted to press them more and give a shock, but it didn’t work.

Daniel Subotic is good at cross playing and we are trying to drive much benefits from his these skills. Ruslan Gurbanov is having a great potential. We trusted in him and took to the team believing he will get more progress match by match. We have our own style and develop the squad with new players fitting to this.

Unfortunately, Vitaliy Vernydub got injured and he is supposed to have a serious injury. And Rasim Ramaldanov was out of the winter training camp”.
