The Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan highlighted Gabala's taekwondo challenger Milad Beigi Harchegani as the best of 2017 introducing the conclusion of the year at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sports. The event presented the bests of sportsmen, teams, coaches, federations among other nominations.

Gabala taekwondo hero won World Cup, World Summer Universiade and Islamic Slidarity Games. He is one of the twelve awarded challengers.
