«I believe I am not wrong at my choice» - Cristian says

Recently added to the first team in the winter brake, Cristian Pulhak has already undertook two performances against Garabagh and Inter. Now the Romanian, 29, talks to gabalafc.az right after the latter match:
- Now it is almost a month your are here in Azerbaijan. It would be pleasure to you’re your early impressions about our country, as well as capital Baku and Gabala.

- I had got some information about Azerbaijan before coming here and found it as a developing country. Then after arriving here, I realized that I was really right on my thoughts. Baku is really a very modern city. But although Gabala is a quiet place and a bit less than Baku.

- Maybe you know those a few Romanian footballers who play for Azerbaijani clubs. Have you learned any thing from them about Azerbaijan?

- Sure, I did get more information on this country from Manuel Skarlatake, Adrian Pit and Eder Bonfim who play for Khazar Lankaran. They told a lot, so now I am here.

- How do you estimate your those two performances for Gabala?

- I can”t say anything about my own play as it seems just like to say “I will score two goals tomorrow”. But I like to analize my performances after every mactes just to see my shortages. It stimulates my improvement game by game.

I know the targets of Gabala are to be champions or at least to reach to being among champions. We all focused on this training hard. Although we failed to make best results of the last two matches but are expected by another difficult work to undertook against Khazar Lankaran. We need to fortify our place among the top six. And I am convinced we will be able to grind out further better results with the next 10 games. Gabala really does have potential and strong team to make this happen.

- How did you fit to the team?

- It is just like a family and we all are members of this. As professional players we understand each other well. It was not hard for me to fit the team.

Moustapha Dabo is my roommate and we have enough opportunity to have a talk. Emagara is well known to me from Romania. We understand each other also with Mendy, Dodo, Kamanan and all others.

- And what about the Gabla coaching staff training proceedings? How did you find differences between training systems of your new and previous teams?

- I joined the team in the Antalya training camp and I saw how strong the team approaches to trainings. Me and some other new players have had to work hard for fitting the team to make it complete staff. We kept up continuous trainings and played in 3 friendlies during 13 days. We faced arch rivals and beat them. It helped much me to fit the staff quick.

We should respond well to tasks of the coaches. All the Gabala people are making up a good atmosphere at the club.

And sure, there should be differences among training techniques and methods. Because each coach has his own training system, game style and mentality.

I grew up with Dinamo and I have much pleasant memories about that club. Before Gaala, I got some many offers from different clubs. But I chose Gabala because it prompted me by its targets and plans. It is evident the football in Azerbaijan is developing day by day. I believe that I am not wrong at my choice.

-What was the reaction of your family about the choice?

- My family didn”t know Azerbaijan well, so my mother surprised hearing about the issue for first. She always saw me playing for Dinamo. Actually my family was used to live without me as I lived in different cities in Romania.

- But what about your wife?

- Still I am not a married man but I got a girlfriend. She also did not know anything about Azerbaijan. But after researching by the Internet she found Baku as a lovely city. She might come to Azerbaijan in the near future.

- And a little about the Azerbaijani cuisine, please…

- I loved it much better. They cook hen here just like my mother. And I don”t see so much differences about the cuisines. I eat normally.

- Do you think putting an end to your football career in Gabala or having another chance in next championship?

- Time will tell this, and it also depends on my performance for Gabala. Currently I focused on reaching to titles with Gabala. After gaining these, I can think about further offers and targets. You can make sure that I don”t like to change my clubs in 6 months or a year. And following the question about finishing my career in Gabala, it sounds a good idea to think on. Why not.
