I denied 4 club offers for Gabala, - Dodo says

Luis Paulo Hillario, being transferred to the senior team of FC Gabala in the summer of 2011, is also nicknamed as Dodo. The Brazilian flavour of the team scored 9 goals in 31 matches of the last season. In his interview, he is estimating, as well as, the up- to-date case of the main team.

-- You got into your second season playing for Gabala. How do you feel the current form of the team?

-- All are ok with the squad now. We are staying at the stage close up to the top of the tournament table. As we aim to reach to the Eurocup matches, the team has to keep minimum goal difference between opponents going ahead of us.

Although I saw some different head coaches at Gabala, I would not like to compare them with each other. Because, I do not play for a coach but I do it for myself, my family and Gabala. Even if a coach from Barcelona, just like Joze Mourinho, comes to Gabala, I will be keeping this thought for playing.

Some changes at Gabala are evident with the physical development of the players, as well as discipline.

"I am a technical, speedy and strong footballer"

- With the current season, you got to be off the pitch, due to a ban on you, for the match against Baku in the 15th tour of the Premier League. Then another lack of our team on the show was Rashad Abdullayev. Do you think the absence of you both was the significant reason for the defeat of Gabala to Baku?

- Sure it affected to that result and I felt very hard watching the game off the pitch. And I regret that we lost that match-up.

- You fall down much during games. Is this opponents pressing you by fouls or something other cause?

- I think I am a technical, speedy and strong footballer. That is why I like to surge forward when the ball is on me. In such cases, opponents try to prevent me by fouls.

- Have you got any offers from other clubs in Azerbaijan or foreign countries during your activity at Gabala?

-- Yes, I have. I got offers from four clubs, one from Azerbaijan, the rest from Brasilia, Russia and China. But I feel good playing for Gabala. I can leave the club only when the management comes to the decision for it.
I feel happy only with this club. The thing drawing me to here is my good feelings about the club. Moreover, financial aspects of our deal with the club also satisfies me and my family.

-- Do you wish to play for the Azerbaijan national team, too?

-- When we met with the club"s general manager Zaur Azizov, my coach said him Dodo would be the best player in Azerbaijan. As the manager denied this I made intervention to the talk and asked him whether it is possible to accept me to the national team if I become the best player scoring 9-10 goals in the championship. In his response, he said yes it is possible. Now I really would like to play in the uniform of the Azerbaijan provisional team.

-- How do you remember your best goal in the Azerbaijan championship?

-- I scored that goal in my first-ever match for Gabala. It was against Sumgayit that we won in 2:1. The second goal was made by Daniel Cruz.

-- Which team defence is unbeaten for you?

-- there is no such a team in the championship. I feel very easy to beat any of them.

- Do you have any Brazilian friends among footballers in Azerbaijan?

-- Sure I have good relationships with the Brazilians in Gabala. But I have no strong ties with my other homeys at other clubs of Azerbaijan.

-- You live alone in Azerbaijan. Is this not boring for you?

 - No, it is not really. I adjusted to living alone since my childhood. Actually I lived alone in all the countries and cities that I played for. But of course it would be better for me to live with my family.

- How do you think about the potential of Gabala with their current place in the league championship?

- We have much potential and just need time to reach to our main successful result. The team also need to be held in a permanent staff to keep going better just like Garabagh with their performances both in Azerbaijan and abroad.

- What is your best wish for Gabala?

-- I wish for Gabala to become champions to gain tally for Eurocup matches. It would really be much good feelings to be seen on TV screens from fields of Europe.
