“I had prepared highly and I was almost in my best. But you can undergo exceptions at times in sports. Unfortunately, I got injured at my shoulder just 2 weeks before the match. After the injury, the medical staff recommended me not to fight for a short time. But we had a deal and a promoter joined the tournament from Germany. And I was keen on earning the titles. It still needs two weeks more my injury to be removed completely. The damage affected after the 2nd round with severe pains and I could not go on”.
All these were said by Fariz Mammadov of Gabala, Azerbaijan. He talks after the fight against Matthias Pelk from Germany:
“I am thinking about the return match after some period. Pelk said he was ready to meet me in Germany for the revenge. I will deel with my injury up to the late December before the match will be fixed in January. I think also about a testing match in the next February. I appreciate all supports and promise to do my best to make things go right again”.
