With 3 goals in his last two league performances against Inter and Khazar Lankaran, Yannick Kamanan seems regaining his early reputation as a scoring power of Gabala. As Ramiz Mammadov"s squad gave a start to the season not in their best, the French flavour of the team took better pace for 2013 just like he promised during the Antalya training camp about getting back to earlier real Kamanan. Making his double in the last Saturday match against the team from South right before the final tour of the qualifying stage, Kamanan appeared to take big share on the victory that put Gabala into the top six of the league table.
The forward shares his first impressions about the win talking to gabalafc.az right after the game:
"It was an exceptional and high-tension match. We knew it was going to be a hard work as both sides would come on only for win. But Gabala could found the way into the opponent net and kept the lead up to the 3-point result which was of paramount importance. It really gratifies me that I made two goals and this is the result dug out by the all team but not only by me. We have played holding the possession as a whole team. If I score, it represents a good result of team play".
Kamanan also revealed some details on the targets progressing into the closing future:
"Our very first target was getting the foothold in the top six and we well dug into this. Now we are thinking about the biggest aim of getting among the champions. Now we all focused on this point. I will try and do my best for reaching to this".
