Gabala’s summer transfer is starting up with Ilgar Gurbanov signing a two-year deal. The midfielder, 31, took his first step on his professional football career with Khazar Lankaran in 2004. Going on with this club up to 2007, Gurbanov then joined Olimpik-Shuvalan for the 2009-2010 season before playing for Qarabagh during 2011-2017. He developed more into his career as a legionary for Turkey’s Sivasspor (2007-2008), Boluspor (2008-2009) and Mersin Idman Yurdu (2010-2011). He scored fourteen goals in his all 187 appearances in Azerbaijan championships, as well as one goal in all 29 national team matches.
