Gabala ended the eighth tour match of the Azerbaijan Premier League against Inter in 1:1. Roman Grigorchuk”s side gave a quicker start to the game. This led to their early threat at the other end where Bagali Dabo”s poor header past wide of goal. But the red-black side kept the ball under control as Inter looked with counter attack efforts tipped wide Dmytro Bezotosniy and the defensive line.
The sides were unable to break the deadlock in the half.
After the interval, the hosts opened the scoring when Aghabala Ramazanov”s shot was returned before his second effort right away found the target. The goal broke Bezotosniy”s clean-sheet run of nine matches, 915 minutes, as he had conceded the last goal from Qarabagh on May 11 this year, within the 34th tour of the league.
The goal prompted Gabala to step up their inroad into the Inter defense. Grigorchuk introduced Ruslan Gurbanov to replace injured Rashad Sadigov. And The leveler was scored by another substitute Zenjov on 69 minutes.
The visitors were all for taking the victory but Dabo”s injury left Gabala going down to ten as they had already used their all substitution chances. This mean our clear drive of five matches has been broken, but the team fortified on top with 20 points.
