Gabala won 2:0 away against Inter Baku ithin the 21st tour of the Azerbaijan Premier League.

Roman Grigorchuk’s red-black side started faster and looked trying to take the momentum from early minutes setting up their first threat with a cross into the box in the 2nd minute. But the opponent keeper absorbed the attack. Filip Ozobic’s free kick and Araz Abdullayev’s long-range shot were tipped wide by the Inter keeper.

Gabala stepped up their inroad into the opponent defense with more minutes into the game before Daniel Subotic was off the target. But shortly later, Ozobic’s 23-meter drive into the downer corner was deflected by Salahat Aghayev.

Inter’s attacks could not make any pulsating threat against our keeper Dmytro Bezotosniy.

Just ten minutes before the half-time, Sergei Zenjov went too close to opening the scoring but saw his shot tipped off.

Gabala looked more faster after the restart and Grigorchuk reinforced the forward line introducing Asif Mammadov in the 54th minute. He set up Subotic in a promising position but the latter was denied by the host keeper and defender. At times Inter went very close to scoring as Gabala’s defence looked lost for seconds. But the team of capital Baku were unable to get into the goal.

Gabala opened the scoring after Asif’s superb pass into the box before the keeper failed to deal with the ball with a basic error and Tellur Mutallimov capitalized the returned ball by a powerful shot past the keeper.

The goal prompted Inter to speed up their attacks and Pardis Farjad-Azad’s long-range kick gave a trouble to Gabala’s Bezotosniy ended clear. And it was Gabala doubling their lead with Asif’s another assistance reached to Subotic finished clinically – 2:0.

After the final whistle, Gabala are fortifying their lead on the league table.
