Gabala”s Elvin Jamalov is optimistic about the Premier League first leg against Kapaz fixed to Monday, August 8. He says:

“We are going to come on the first leg of the domestic Premier League. Now we are focused on this game after gaining the early 3 rounds of the UEFA EL. The target is just to earn the championship and the fixture against Kapaz has to be a good start on the way.

We know much about Kapaz, but unfortunately they have stopped with the EL this season. I wish every Azerbaijan clubs to develop more into the UEFA Eurocups as much as they can.

Now I thinks the opponent side are preparing to the season start in their highest motivation. We also are having good spirits after the successful run in the continental campaign. Now Gabala going to field only for 3 points tomorrow.

The staff will be a bit different as there is a limit on overseas footballers, but I am convinced it will not make any challenge on our way”.

Following the next EL match against Maribor, I think they are more stronger than the time we met in a trial match 2 years ago in Slovenia. But I am sure we will be able to remove this team from the contest and repeat the last season record of the club reaching up to the group stage”.
