Gabala taekwondo fighter Javad Aghayev, challenging also for the Azerbaijan national team, has struck a bronze medal of the Buenos Aires 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Argentina. This is his second success this year after gaining the World Champion title. The Gabala hero, 63-kg, won on Stephen Atem from South Sudan in the round of 16. During the match, the African challenger was disqualificated. Then in the round of 8, Javad beat Hamed Asgari Mahiabadi by 9:8 developing into the semifinal where the red-black challenger lost to Cho Vun Hu from South Korea with 13:15.
