SC Gabala’s Javad Aghayev, challenging also for the Azerbaijan nation taekwondo team, won silverware of the Turkish Open Taekwondo Tournament in Istanbul, Turkey.

In the G1 class championship, the 63-kg fighter came on the canvas five times before the final. He beat three opponents from Turkey, one from the Netherlands and one from Germany. Then he lost to another Turkish opponent in the all-important match.

It’s worth to notice our challenger won a gold medal in the European Clubs Championship.
