Gabala took an away victory on Keshla with 2:1 in the 12th tour of the Azerbaijan Premier League. Both sides were unable to set up an occasion until Lalavele Atakora made the opponent defense get lost before James Adeniyi shot in from a promising position in the 17th minute. The opener was registered as the latter’s sixth goal for Gabala over the season. The Nigerian reached to sharing the highest place on the top league scorers. Three minutes later, Gabala doubled the lead with Vojislav Stankovic’s perfect header after a free-cick by Tamkin Khalilzadeh from the right – 2:0. The goal prompted Keshla to pushing harder against Gabala, but our keeper Dmitro Bezotosniy held on clear.

Keshla could score back only one with Amil Yunanov. Then Steeven Monroze set up Atakora but the red-black team’s third goal was cancelled by the post.

After the break, Gabala gained a free-kick but Khalilzadeh’s shot was off-target. A superb cross from the right found Adeniyi but his head was poor. Adeniyi went too close to put Gabala one more ahead but his effort failed.
