SC Gabala’s  Ushangi Kokauri, +100 kg, who fights also for the Azerbaijan national judo team, gained a bronze medal of the European Judo Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria. Among 244 challengers from 29 countries, he started from the second stage where he won on Irinel Vasile Chelaru Grighorash from Spain and Ukrainian Andrey Kolesnik progressing into the semifinal. Then he lost to Benjamin Harmegnies from Belgium. And for the third place, Kokauri beat Stanislav Bondarenko frim Ukraine.
