The 2nd Gabala U15 Cup started with an opening ceremony. Firstly, the all teams were introduced to the crowd one by one. The event went on by the opening speech of Gabala Sports Club”s president Tale Heydarov who welcomed the all participants:

-- “Welcome you all young participants of the tournament: It gratifies us that, the Gabala U15 Cup became traditional as it got into its 2nd year. Today we got 2 legendaries of the world football Tony Adams and Roy Makaay here in Gabala. And I”m greeting them, too. They are those who used to act on this way such as you are doing with this contest in Gabala and got reputation. My best wish is you to reach to such high titles in the future like they did”.

The club president drew attention also over state support on sports in Azerbaijan:

-- “The great care of the government on sports in Azerbaijan is well evident as the first European Olympic Games is going to be organized in Baku in 2015. Our country bid for the 2020 European Football Cup, too. Maybe you will meet each other again in matches of Euro league and Euro cups. It might be in Gabala.

I appreciate all the guests accepting our invitation and visiting Gabala, and wish them much success in the games coming up. Let the winners be the strongest teams”.

Right after the opening ceremony, Gabala and Besiktas came on the pitch to play.
