Louis Aragon: “We are working out a perfect program”

Gabala reserves are keeping going on the preparation into the next season at home. Their new coach Louis Aragon is on the scene and has got some impressions about Azerbaijan and Gabala. The Spaniard talks to gabalafc.az with more details on the training proceedings and future plans:

- How do you feel in your new city Gabala after more than 10 days?

- Before this, I had been in Azerbaijan and I enjoyed visiting Baku, Gabala and Lenkoran. I liked the country at first sight. And about Gabala, it is really a good land to live and make your career to last. The nature and climate are perfect. Here are calm environment and no stress. It came easy to me fitting to the club with hospitable people and professional guys. All these make you feel better here in Gabala.

- How is the preparation progress? It is already more than a week you started it…

- Currently, we are working on setting the team in a complete form and developing the staff. They are good on my tasks. The team will be tested by some friendlies prior to the championship starts. I hope it will let us see our shortages and weak points. In this period, we will make definite some players which should stay, leave or involve to the staff. Some Academy students are supposed to be brought to the team.

- Is the team in a good form today?

- The confidence is high as I see it in trainings. But training is not the only thing for player to be well grown up. Now we are working out a perfect program. It aims to put the staff in a good regime that will provide them to grow up as professional footballers. As you know, from breakfast to field behavior, daily activity, also resting and leisure times, all these straightly affect to field performance of a player. We will power all our possibilities to bring up player people to Azerbaijan in a new soccer theory and also to develop young players up to proper level for the main team.

- What are you targeting ahead of the new season?

- As I said, we aim to grow up players for the first team in a new soccer theory. Making it working, we can reach to the target: to be winners of the championship and provide the main team with good players.

- Do you see any candidates among the reserves to the main team?

- I have just started as a coach and it would be hasty to say anything exact. There are some players that I like and believe in their future. But it is not the target to grow up footballers with individual characteristics. We need to bring them up to the level where they will be able to help the team reaching the targets.
